What is pea protein?

Pea protein is a type of food and comes from both yellow and green peas. Pea protein also comes from the group of legumes, where you also find beans, chickpeas, soybeans and lentils. The peas are dried and then pressed into a powder which is then called pea protein and has between 70-90% protein. It is a protein-rich source and is used today as a natural supplement.
