Naturliag superfoods för hormonbalans - vad kan de göra för dig?

Naturliag superfoods for hormone balance - what can they do for you?

The body is an extraordinary system — and hormones play a key role in how we feel every day. Energy, mood, sleep, concentration, and recovery are all affected by the hormonal system. But what can you actually do to support it, naturally and based on evidence?

In this article, we look at what current research and traditional natural health say about adaptogens, superfoods, and leafy greens — and how these ingredients are included in our blends Hormone Harmony and Heavenly Her.

What affects hormone balance?

Hormones are chemical messengers that regulate almost all bodily functions — from metabolism and the immune system to stress response and reproductive health. They are produced by glands such as the thyroid, adrenal glands, and ovaries, and communicate through the bloodstream with all the body's organs.

Several factors in a modern lifestyle can affect how the hormonal system works:

  • Lack of sleep — Research shows that insufficient sleep affects cortisol and insulin levels after just a couple of days.
  • Chronic stress — High cortisol levels over a long period can disrupt the balance with other hormones, including thyroid hormones and sex hormones.
  • Diet — Deficiencies in micronutrients such as iron, zinc, folate, and vitamin K can affect processes such as blood formation, cell division, and bone structure.
  • Exercise — Regular, moderate exercise supports the body's natural stress regulation and metabolism.
  • Environmental factors — Exposure to certain chemicals in plastics and cosmetics has been linked in studies to endocrine disruption.

"A varied diet rich in micronutrients, regular sleep, and exercise are well-documented ways to support the body's natural functions."

Adaptogens — what does the research say?

The term "adaptogen" was coined by Soviet researchers in the 1940s to describe natural substances thought to help the body adapt to stress. Today, the concept is established within natural health, and research on herbs such as ashwagandha and maca continues to grow.

It is important to understand that adaptogens in supplement form are not medicines. They are seen as a natural complement to a healthy lifestyle — an easy way to give the body a little extra of what nature has to offer.

🌿 Nature's nutritional power — what do we find in superfood powders?

  • Vitamin C – naturally found in rosehips and goji berries, supports normal immune function
  • Iron – in spinach, lucuma, and goji berries, important for normal energy and blood formation
  • Zinc – in lucuma and goji berries, plays a role in normal immune function and hormone regulation
  • Folate – in beetroot and spinach, important for normal cell division and blood formation
  • Vitamin K – naturally found in kale, for normal bone structure and blood clotting
  • Fiber – in maca, beetroot, and lucuma, supports normal digestion
