Tips för ett hälsosammare julbord

Tips for a healthier christmas table

Making the Christmas table healthier can be a challenge, but there are several ways to make it more balanced and nutritious. Here are some tips for a healthier Christmas table:

  1. Add different kinds of vegetables, such as lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrots and bell pepper. These provide color, flavor and lots of nutrients.
  2. Reduce the amount of sugar and fat in sauces and dressings. You can use yogurt or seasoned oils instead of heavy cream-based sauces.
  3. Add protein-rich dishes such as fish, beans, lentils or quinoa to increase satiety and support muscle health.
  4. Offer healthy side dishes like a fresh fruit or berry salad, or serve fruit for dessert instead of sugary baked goods. Our freeze-dried fruits are perfect for these occasions! Among other things, you can make cookies with oats, banana and freeze-dried mango, You can find the recipe here!
  5. By making your own dishes, you can have control over the ingredients and make healthier choices.
  6. Use cinnamon as a seasoning, because cinnamon, rich in antioxidants and polyphenols, also has anti-inflammatory properties! Read more here about its health benefits here!
  7. Bake a delicious healthy dessert with some of our superfoods! For example Chocolate fudge with Belly Boost and Saffron cake with Berry Beautiful.
